Security Performance

Security Level: RC4 is comparable to PAS 24. Both RC4 and PAS 24 provide a high level of resistance to forced entry, designed for scenarios where attackers are using a broad range of tools and may have significant skill. RC4 focuses on a slightly shorter attack duration (up to 10 minutes) compared to PAS 24’s up to 15 minutes, but both standards involve a rigorous testing process.

Testing Approach: RC4 tests for resistance against a wider range of tools and for a moderate duration, aligning well with PAS 24’s approach to assessing burglary resistance. While PAS 24 involves a broader set of tools and longer attack duration, RC4’s requirements are close enough to provide a similar level of security assessment.

Applicability: RC4 is used for higher-security requirements and can be considered equivalent to or slightly below the level of PAS 24 in terms of rigorous testing and protection. It is suitable for high-security areas where there is a need to resist determined attacks from experienced burglars.
